Assistant Manager - Boutique/Gourmet Farm Market

Overview

We are seeking a driven outgoing Assistant Manager of the Gourmet Retail Market to join our growing team who shares our passion for local Saint Petersburg goods. This is a part-time to full-time position where you will be responsible for client experience and satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a team-player who is dedicated to customer service and has a positive, energetic attitude when interacting with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage all aspects of market inventory, including produce, dairy and dry goods
  • Learn POS and inventory management software, must become highly skilled in our systems
  • Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change
  • Operate registers, scanners, scales and credit card/debit card terminals
  • Memorize products and be able to provide suggestions to clients
  • Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner
  • Collect payments and bag purchases for customers
  • Maintain accurate cash drawer
  • Keep the checkout area clean and orderly
  • Answer phone calls for customer orders and inquiries
  • Fulfill online and phone orders for customers in a timely manner
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or GED, prior retail or cashiering experience preferred. Inventory management experience a PLUS.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent standing, and sitting throughout shift with occasional kneeling, squatting, or reaching. Work environment is sheltered and not exposed to the elements.
