If comfort had a taste, it would taste like this salt. Traditionally, this blend is a combination of herbs which grow abundantly in southern France- thyme, savory, fennel, rosemary, marjoram, basil, lavender, and tarragon. But, no matter where you grew up or where you live now, this is the kind of home cooking that brings you back to far away childhood memories and begs to be shared around a table with people you love. Sprinkle it over your fish, chicken, lamb or pork before you roast or grill it. Toss in with your root veggies, pizza or pasta sauce. Add it to a dish of olive oil and hot pepper flakes and serve with warm bread and try it on grilled summer fruit for a surprising and savory dessert.
